Happy Birthday Brice

Well I am a little late posting but Brice turned 6 last Saturday! He decided this year that he wanted a Christmas/Snowman theme at home for his party, which I thought was easy enough. He asked for a snowman cake and red velvet cupcakes!

He got a new "big boy" bike from us because he couldnt go fast enough on his other one. He has gotten so tall though he was outgrowing it fast!

He had an ear infection so we did let him ride the bike in the house that morning because it was so windy and I didnt want him to feel worse before his party!!
My little man had a blast too!!!
Oh and Santa made a "SUPRISE" visit which everyone loved!!! I can't believe that my big man is 6! Time sure does fly!! Happy Birthday Brice...mama loves you soooo much!!

I Am Thankful for.....

My sweet precious boys!! What would I do without these "mamas boys"'?? God has been so good to me! I could not ask for anything more.

Is this not the sweetest face you have ever seen?? Hayes is as wide open as they come but I love every minuete of it. He is growing so fast! I feel like I am missing so much with him because I am so busy with 2. How do you do it with 3??
Brice is a great big brother, well most of the time. He does have his moments but he is a preotector of Hayes and loves him very much. Hayes thinks that Brice has hung the moon and wants to do everything that Brice does!! I hope they will grow up to be best friends!
Gosh they look nothing alike!! Brice is his daddy made over and Hayes looks like me! At least I have something to show for that hard work of getting them here! :)

Brice has the pic in his room. He loves the saying on it. My prayer is that they will always love each other and protect each other. i try to tell Brice now that the world and friends will let you down but he and Hayes will always be there for each other!! Well that is my spill...what are you thankful for today??

Good talking to you,

Sorry for the Long Delay but I missed you.......

Gosh it has been a crazy month!! I have been running with my head cut off. But I missed you guys! I am becoming addictive to reading your blogs but I have been out of commission alot lately! October was a busy month for us. We had our Disney Cruise and Brantley turned 30!! We had him a surprise party with some friends that helped and actually pulled off the surprise!! He had a great time and was very thankful.

Just a few pics from the cruise. If you havent been start planning one now!! Best trip ever and not as hectic as Disney. Plus you get to see all the characters all the time! So much fun. I cant wait to go back and take Hayes too.

The pic of the girls are my sisters and niece. We had so much fun at his party. I had cups made that said "his youth has flown an "Old Man" is he. Brantley is now the big 30!! He loved them and it will be a nice memory. Becky S husband Brad came and cooked ribs (brantley's fav) and we had a guy come and shuck oysters (another fav). He had an awesome cake with sparklers as his candles and cheesecake too!! Lots of fun. So the month has flown and it is already Thanksgiving. I am so thankful for so much but that will take another blog!! Great to see you again!!

I'm Back!!

We are home from Disney and I cant even put into words how much fun we had!! if you have not taken a Disney cruise please make it your next vacation!! It was AWESOME!!! They dont hold out any stops. Brice had such a great time. I loved watching him!! He was in awe of some many things. The ship was great, the shows were great, Kids Club rocked, The ships private island was awesome!! Only thing missing was Hayes who stayed at home with KK, Papa, and grandy and one more day at sea to enjoy the cool slide on board the ship!! Here are a few of Brice's favorite things from his mouth:

1. Pirates in the Caribbean Party on Thursday night...Mickey "flew" in to save everyone from the pirates and the fireworks show.
2. The shows were great especially when the "real" Tinkerbell sprinkled pixie dust across the whole ship, inlcuding the room we were in. (that was a fav or mine as well)
3. Riding the jet ski at the beach in the bahamas.
4. Watching Pluto pea on a tree at Castaway Key (hee hee he made me add that one)
5. Having Mickey call and wake you up in the morning!!
6. Getting to have all the free pizza you wanted all day and night!!!

Only one thing made it on the dislike list: The LONG DRIVE HOME!!!

I havent had a chance to put my pics on the computer today yet. We got a new camera right before we left and I have to install the software on my computer first. I will try and do it tonight!! Anyways trip was great!! I cant wait for the next one!!

Disney Cruise Here We Come!!

We are leaving this morning for a Disney Cruise and I am so pumped!!! I finally had to get out of bed at 5:30am because I could not possibly lay there any longer. Is something wrong with that picture? You would think it would be Brice that is up excted but he is still sleeping away. I think I am more excited because he doesnt have any clue what to expect. You can tell them all day that you are going on a cruise and he has seen ships on TV but never up close. I cant wait to see his face when we drive up to the ship. Anyways wish us a safe trip and will post pics when we get home!!

A Little Frustrated

I am watching the debate right now and I am so ready for this election to be over. I am wondering if this will be the year that all the Christians out there will finally stand up for something and go to the polls and vote in November. I get so tired of being ran over by liberals who always seem to come together for what they want. I am tired of Christians just sitting back while liberals get everything they want. I pray now that Christians and conservatives finally get up off their behinds and start standing up for what they believe in...all the way to the polls!! Sorry just a little frustrated tonight!! :)

Big Day Today!!!

Well the big debate is here and I have to say I am a little nervous. I dont know if I can even watch it. I am praying for Governor Palin today that the Lord would use her tonight. I am praying that he will guide her words so that she would speak to those who need to hear it the most. I am very proud that she has not hid her dependence on him. She has taken so many hard hits that I really want her to "shine" tonight...
"Lord please place your hands upon her today and tonight. Please give her the strength and confidence to get through this debate and help her to glorify you in the process. IF you truly have a plan for her to be an "Esther" for our nation then I know you will use her and not forsake her. Please be her guide tonight with the words that come from her mouth and the thoughts of her heart. Thank you in advance. Amen"
Please remember Sara Palin today and tonight.

Powerful Message

Brantley and I went with some friends today to visit a church that they attend. The preacher was Louie Giglio and he is fantastic and I have been thinking about him all day. I did a little research tonight and stumbled across part of one of his messages from God Tube. I am sure that some of you are familiar with him. Please take the time to watch this. It is about 8 mins and it is priceless!! Thank you God that you truly hold us together!! Blessings to all of you today.

Better Late Than Never

Well I am just now posting pics of Hayes birthday party because my camera has been giving me some fits. I need a new one bad but I am having a hard time deciding which one to go with. You know that is a big decision!! Anyways Hayes had a great time. we had a frog party and it was a blast!! I put up some small pools for the little ones and a big sandbox. We rented a big slide as well for Brice and the older kids. Hayes stayed on it as well. We kept the slide all weekend so by Sunday night we were all wore out. It was a great day though!
Mrs. Fran did an awesome job on the cake. Hayes kept sneaking in to the dining room to eat the flies that she had put on it!! She also made brownies with big polka dots on them to match the cake and she did the party favors which were chocolate crickets and bugs...they were too cute.
Brice is giving me a big smile because he absolutley loves this slide. He begged us to buy one. But who has storage for this thing???
Hayes had a blast going down it. Brantley and I had to stand in it and boost him up all weekend. I think we were more tired than he was.
This was our only pic of the day together. And we didnt even get one with Brice. Are any of you as bad as us about family pics??

Hayes got lots of new tractors from Aunt KK and Uncle Leo. He loves them and plays with them all day!
Wiped out after a long day.
Party was great!! Now I have a couple of months to recooperate until Brices.

Where Have I Been??

Well I have been having some trouble with my blog on my laptop. I thought that I was going to have to start completely over (ugh!!) but it looks like it might just be a problem with my computer. So I am posting from home today. Hayes turned 2 last Friday!! So a little late but Happy Birthday to my big man!! We had a pretty busy day Friday getting ready for the party. We had a fun outdoor party at home and rented a big slide for Brice and the older kids and set up pools for the smaller kids. I will try and get the pics posted today. I still cant believe my baby is 2. The time sure is flying by!!

Hangin Around

Well it looks like we will be hanging around here this weekend. Hayes has gotten sick with a sinus infection and ear infection so it looks like we wont be ending the summer with a "bang" at the lake. Brice and Brantley are not happy to say the least but I dont want to put my baby in nasty lake water already sick. He seems to be feeling a little better today though. So it looks like we will be just hanging out!! I was hoping to get some good pics of the boys on the boat...I will post some of us around the house. Have a great Labor Day weekend and be safe on the roads!!

It's Official!!

Well it is official...Brice is a kindergartner!!Today went better than I had planned. Brantley and I had this awesome plan that we were going to get up early and make sure we were dressed before the boys got up...of course that did not work as planned. I rolled over and noticed that we had overslept and jumped out of bed to get ready. Normally Brice and Hayes are up as well but I had to wake both of them up this morning. That is just my luck. I really wanted things to go smoothly at home, you know, no hurries just taking our time and getting off to the right foot.. I ended up running around with my head cut off. Needless to say we did make it on time and I was able to get a few shots of him and Mrs. G. She is wonderful and I already know that God had a perfect plan for putting Brice with her. She has boys of her own so she loves her "boys" in her class just like they are her own. Brantley and I walked him in and she gave him a big bear hug and I knew he was going to be fine. He didnt even look back. In a way I wanted him to just to still feel "needed" but I really wanted him to like it as well. I picked him up and he said he liked it and had a good day!! Whew!! The hard part was over...or is it just beginning?? I am sure not ready for site words!! I am so grateful that God's plan is always the best plan even when we dont always think that at first!! Enjoy the pics of out "first day"!!

Dad hurry up already!!

Brice and Mrs. G--isnt she cute!!

Hayes outstide Brice classroom-ready to tell bubba bye!

Last Weekend of "Summer"

This morning I am very sad bacause it is our last weekend before school starts! Brice will start kindergarten on Tuesday. It has been so nice this summer to sit back and relax and not have to be on a schedule or do homework with letters and numbers!! Brice has a mind of his own when it comes to school. Of course he could care less and doesnt care anything about starting school again. We did get a great teacher though and I am hoping that once he gets there he will love it! So, today we are going to enjoy our last weekend before we have to be on a schedule again. We have a birthday party this morning that was supposed to be outside but it looks as if it may rain today...we are going to keep our fingers crossed that it doesnt so we can stay outside all day. Keep me in your prayers as the next couple of days go by...my baby boy isnt so baby anymore. :(

The Last Lecture

I am sure that some of you are familiar with Randy Pausch and the book he co-wrote titled "The Last Lecture". I have been fascinated with his story and have been following him along his "last days". I was saddened to hear that he had lost his battle last week to cancer. This week ABC had a special on him Monday and Tuesday night. It was great...it showed clips from that now famous lecture and also from his first interview and an interview with his wife. Brantley watched this as well. I couldnt help but cry as I listened to his words and watch his wife as she spoke of her love for him. He often said "We cannot change the cards we are dealt, just how we played the hand". I still think WOW what a postitive attitiude even in those final days. Then I thought I am sure my attitude would not be this way. It seems sometimes we get so caught up in "busy" things and being tired from just going, going, going that we forget what is really important. That night Brantley and I talked about how thankful we were for each other and how glad we were to have found each other!! And it reminded me today as I was writing this that I should make every effort everyday to tell him how much I love him....it is so natural to hug and tell Brice and Hayes 100x each day that I love them but I dont do that with Brantley quite as much! :) Sometimes I think that would be harder knowing you are sick but think of all the wonderful things you could do and the things you could say and write to people...then I thought why dont we just do that everyday and live like that is it. Even though we may not have a serious illness the bible states that we are not promised tomorrow. So my new plan is to start living each day like it is my last!! Does Brantley know that he is my "soulmate"?? That I would have rather only had 8 short years with him than a lifetime with someone else?? Does he know that he "completes" me?? Brantley if you are reading this I do love you very much and enjoy everyday I get with you...I know my boys know this but do I constantly nag over the little things with them?? I want to do better with this...And to my friends who read this?? Do you know I would be lost without you?? As girls we do need each other and I wish that we got together more often...I do love you and do want to try to get together more. Arent you glad for friends that dont need to talk "all the time"? You can just pick up where you left off like you never skipped a beat!!

My challenge to you is to do the same....and if you havent picked up a copy of this book. Please do so..it will change your life and make you appreciate the "little things". Hope I get some comments!!Have a great day...and make it count :)

Big Day at the Library

Today I took Brice to the library for the first time. I know that sounds awful that I have waited this long but I have your "typical" boy who cares nothing about anything in the world besides playing outside. We eat every meal out there and he would literally never come inside if I would let him. I have been trying to gear him up for kindergarten and get him excited about learning to read!! It doesnt seem to be working though. Who has time for that?? He was pretty pumped about gettiing his own library card and I let him pick out 3 books to bring home for us to read. I still can't believe that he is going to be in Kindergarten. So, I am posting some cute pics of our first libary trip....

As you can tell he is very excited about taking a pic outside in the sun!!

Mama is so proud!

All Summer Long

As I write today I am listening to one of my favorite summer songs "All Summer Long" by Kid Rock. We have been to the lake a lot this summer since Hayes finally likes his life jacket. And Brice LOVES this song. Sunday, he and I went for a ride and this song came on the radio and he said "turn it loud mama" and then he proceeded to roll the window down. I turned the song up loud and rolled my window down as well. I looked back at him and he is just a singing along (I know bad mom right??). I laughed thinking he had it made...no worries...just singing as loud as you could. He is growing so fast. He is so much like me when it comes to summer. It doesnt matter if it is 100 degrees or not he and I will have the windows down and jamming away. We can only get away with that when it is he and I. Everyone else is "too hot".
This has also become our new favorite song for the boat...so "Sweet Home Alabama" moves to 2nd place. We have big speakers on our boat and Brice loves to turn it real loud!! We still love Sweet Home Alabama too and if any of you have been to Lake Eufaula then you know that this is the fav there as well. Brice loves it when someone asks him to turn it louder. I hope that he doesnt need hearing aids in high school. :) I am posting some pics from the lake and tubing. We bought a 3 seater this year and Hayes loves sitting by himself. Hope you are enjoying your summer. Arent you glad to live in the south??

My journey Begins

Hello all!! Well my blog is finally up and going....Hilary did an awesome job setting up my blog for me....it makes me not feel as bad about not keeping up with my scrapbooking as much!! :) I was so good about keeping up with Brice but when Hayes came along....let's just say I am still trying to pick the color of his album. I know, I know that is so bad but time just flies now...Anyways, I am getting with "the times". I thought I was pretty computer literate but I am still learning how to post pics, do a video, and add pics the easiest way. So if you have any good advice please send it my way.

We had a great 4th weekend. We went to the lake. We got a new tube and Brice loved it. He wears me out wanting to go so fast. My arms are sore today from holding on so tight. The faster the better for him. Hayes actually got on yesterday with Brice and Brantley and he did so good. I will post the pic of all 3 of them as soon as i learn how.....ha ha!!
